Hi there ... i followed the steps to create an online help for navision. I have all tools from the tools cd and everything runs find except for one thing:
i get errors when i run GATE. He says that he cannot find my HTML files ... I get a compiled CHM though, with a complete TOC of my objects and everything fine, but when i open a TOC entry, HTML Help displays an error message ... as far as i know, i've done everything like in the manuals ... anyone has an idea? .. plleeaase.
The freaks come out at night.

I have the same problem, I followed step by step the process indicated on the help online that explains how using GATE, but I have 6 compiling errors and I don't know what the problem is. Is there someone who can help us, please?

Check the file "Error.log" in the folder \LLL\Base\addin_x\Processed\
where LLL is the language code.

I've tried but in that file there is this text:
    Microsoft HTML Help Compiler 4.74.8702

    Compiling c:\ITA\Addin_a\Processed\Addin_a.chm

Compile time: 0 minutes, 2 seconds
    97 Topics
    94 Local links
    0 Internet links
    0 Graphics

    Created c:\ITA\Addin_a\Processed\Addin_a.chm, 85,302 bytes
Compression decreased file by 144,286 bytes.

I can't understand why GATE can't compile my project.
    Can you help me, please?

I've already seen it, now I can't quote the file because I've changed pc, but there's written only that there are 6 compile errors but it doesn't specify which errors are, so I don't know what I should change. How can I find the errors?

For example in my gateerror.txt is this error:
    GATE 1.2.01 5.5.2004 10:36:41

    addin_a.hhp

The master stylesheet was copied from the \Shared folder
GATE failed to find the following in Object.txt:
    B_55421
    B_68500
    T_38_55425
    T_38_55426
    T_38_55429
    T_122_55425

In my Gateerrors.txt there is this text
    GATE 1.2.02 20/09/2006 15.41.22

    Using C:\\ITA\Shared\gate.txt
    Using C:\\ITA\Shared\projectsettings.txt

    Reading C:\\ITA\Addin_a\Application\object.txt
    144 entries successfully read

    Processing Addin_a
    6 compiler error(s).
How could I understand which is the problem?

but your log is from folder \ITA\Base\. Try to look for another one in folder \ITA\Base\addin_a\Processed.

Thanks, so I solved that problem.
But I've another problem, in fact, when I copy the files the first time I can see the help. If I close and open again Navision, it returns me this error:
'The window name "$global_Hide" passed to HH_GET_WIN_TYPE has not been specified'. Do you know the cause of this error? In GATE file I copied what the manual said...

No, I do not know that error. But I recommend to mark this post as [solved] and open new post for this new problem...
