Hi all,
I know that Microsoft Axapta have not supported Vietnamese yet. But now my company want to localize Axapta to VietNamese, How to do that?. Please tell me some ideas, some ways or links to know how to localize Axapta. Many thanks
Labels (the texts on the screen and in messages) are stored in Ax{label-id}{language}.ald, e.g. AxSYSen-us.ald where SYS is the label-id and en-us the language.
So you have to translate all files Ax*en-us.ald.
You also need language licenses - if you can't get them from Microsoft, you may use another language for which you have the license but don't need, and replace the label files of this language.
And the more complicated step is to change the modules (e.g. Ledger) to your local (legal) requirements/processes.
Thank you for your help.We are translating language and still have some problems. I create new label and then apply it to a form. It updated one layer ( eg. VAR layer ). I 'm afraid when Microsoft give new patch layer , this overwrite to my code . I think that I can export xpo file and import this file when I have a patch layer. Is it right?.
that's right, but the better way is to put all modifications to an unused layer (e.g. cus or usr) which lies on top of the var. when you then update the whole system, you only have to upgrade the objects you have changed (simple with the compare context menu option)
