we observed that we were not able to view the Balance Sheet and the Profit & Loss Statement in Navision.
Do you have any idea how to get any report relating to B/st or the Profit & loss account.
We also came up with the problem relating to resources. If we buy a Fixed Asset say Machinery, is it possible to link it as a resource also or we have to redefine the same Fixed asset again as a resource in the resource card?. This will cause duplication of work, isn't it.

Do you mean statement of financial position ? It should be exists if yes.
Meanwhile for P&L, you must use account schedule to create it.If we buy a Fixed Asset say Machinery, is it possible to link it as a resource also or we have to redefine the same Fixed asset again as a resource in the resource card?
I think you must define again in the resource card if you want the machinery has resource capacity and other parameter (fields relate to your machinery) in resource card. Maybe you can use checkbox to indicate that it is fixed assets. So, it depends on your company's business process in the future. You use fixed assets and resource card together with the same item record in them but there are many different in the functions.

Indian version of Navision have no Balance sheet and P&L as the grouping of both these statements are based on Chart of Accounts which is a dynamic and created/designed by the client (with the help of Consultant). Therefore both these statements need to be configured in the Account Schedule.CA Sandeep Singla
