Hi,

I am a technical writer. Can any one explain to me what the author means by the following sentence. Is it technically ok?

Install Commerce Gateway Solution where Commerce Gateway Request Server is installed on its own server (as opposed to an installation where all components are installed on the same computer).

What does the author mean by "on its own server".

    I would say it means to install the CGRS on a different network computer than the other components. In the brakets case it speeks about the opposite situation where all components are installed on the same computer.

    E.g. from Axapta installation: you can install the SQL server on a computer, the Application on another computer, the AOS on another, and the client on another and this is ok. You can also install all of them on same comp. OR you can make different combinations.
