Hi, I am new to Navision and I got a big problem. I also tried several times the search engine but I could not find a solution
In my fathers company we have several Navision v3.60 Clients based on Win98. I just upgraded one computer to Windows XP and installed Navision. I was happy that I could implement it to the network like the other ones.
But when it comes to printing, many things don't work like they should. I will try to explain:
The above mentioned computer has 2 printers. One connected via USB, the other one is a network printer. The USB printer is a dot matrix printer with common german endlesspaper. The network printer is used for A4 prints only. My problem is, that Navision always has A4 as default, so when I print to USB i get garbage after the third page because of the different paper length. Only workaround i found is to change the paper type under "Page Setup" to what I currently need.
I am searching for an option to tell Navision that the USB printer ALWAYS uses german endlesspaper and the network printer ALWAYS uses A4.
I set up the printers in the Windows Control Panel to there special paper, but Navision doesn't consider these Settings
Because of that problem the "Book and Print" Dialog is not working because I do not have the chance to select a paper type or even a printer.
Hopefully someone can help me
Greetings,
Carlo
PS: I hope I have translated all technical terms correctly to english

for example go into Object Designer - click any report and then "Design"
Put your mouse on the blank line under the last data item.
then view Properties.
You can set
Printer, paper size, orientation, etc etc for that report.

Most reports are indeed printed to the same printer, so you already helped me much Thx also for the good description where to find these settings!
But unfortunately we got some reports which will be printed on both printers, is there a solution for these?
