Dear Friends,

Axapta doesnot allow multiple number sequences for a single field. For eg. we want to give number sequence for Sales Order as below:

NSO_07####
ESO_07####
WSO_07#### etc., so that if a Sales order has to be registered from
western region the number sequence - WSO_07#### has to be selected.
Continuation of numbers also should be taken care of.

This was quite possible in navision. But as I see in Axapta it is not
possible.

Kindly help me out.

Thanks and Best regards,

Babu

Do you think you will be setting up different companies for the different regions? In this case, you will have different sets of order number sequence you can setup in different companies.

    Hi,

Within the same company this is not possible through settings, but can be done programatically. You may also think to develop an enhancement which will allow this kind of settings.

What about the GroupEnabled property of the NumberSeqReference class?
Doesn't it allow to setup different number sequences based on the group selected (and it can be made the region for the sales Order)

    Hi Madhu

I've faced similar problem with No. Series. AX base will not allow to configure multiple No. series for a documents like Navision, but it was vital requirement fot Indian clients. We did customization to meet this requirement.
