I have a manufacturing prospect that pays their individuals by the piece produced. Each employees has a different "piece rate" based on their ability and what job they are performing. Some have said this could be set up in payroll as a controll and some have recommended jobs and resources. Has anyone dealt with this issue?

We use nothing in native navision, except check journal.
Partially as have some employees, salaried, hourly, piece rate and then to further compound some move from being piece rate to hourly within pay period and/or over time.
Also, where are you/client? - need to be carefull regarding piece rates and min wage laws depending upon your jurisdiction.
Personal philosophy:
Client business can pay whatever they want and employees will take, but I will not write code that does not follow tax/wage laws.

I really did not get into standard NF payroll as our reseller said it woiuld not do what we need and best route was from scratch/customization.
nameley we wanted to change pay method for employees, from hourly-pice rate and/or if pice rate,have the rate vary based upon job type/category etc.
