Hi all,
I am using NAV. 4. (SP2) , I want to connect it to SQL SERVER 2005.
My question is that the procedure is same for SQL SERVER 2005 as with sql server 2000 or any changes in that.
Hi sandip,
what blacktiger said is correct 50%, as long as you are confidence.
I am sure that you can do that by creating database in the SQL server
using "Microsoft SQL Server Option for Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision"
Just read the manual file Installation & System Management:
Microsoft® Business Solutions–Navision® SQL Server Option
The procedure to create a new database on SQL Server 2005 is the same as with SQL Server 2000. The only difference is that if you use the x64 version of the OS, then on SQL Server 2005 you will have to install the extended stored procedure manually. Read the documentation in the SQL Server installation guide for more details, you'll find it in the Doc folder on disk 1.
