I tried copy one production BOM to other. I found the details of original Production BOM are lost...

In the demo database, I created a new PBOM no. 2000 and intend to copy the no. 1000 into it. However, the details of 1000 are lost...

I don't think it can be lost. If you have created a production BOM, you use it in production and then finished production order, you still should have it.
Maybe someone delete it or there is something in the copy doc. process.
Just check from object designer or using Ctrl+F2
