Look in the partnersource for information. There are a lot of different ways you can follow. The basic ones are:

Unlimited depends on your willingness and power to take it, although indeed the basic requirement certainly exists but you can go thorugh all of exams. you will be technical and application master certified consultant after taking all exams specified by microsoft.
You can ask mbs-cert@microsoft.com to receive navision master file (*.doc) consists of preparation guide and exam modules.
If you are technical consultant, you can also take exam of application.
I think the exam is the basic one before you involve more in Navision and flying in the navision world.
