i would like to know what is the exact diference between Company, Business Unit and Dimension Unit, which is useful for implementing Navision

You set a company in a database. It's an organisation. In every database you can set multiple companies according with your company group business process. In a company you can use business unit and in every business unit can have self financial and accounting department and separated with other business unit but still under a company or company group especially when you allocate budget, money or even different products can be happened in business unit, for example sheet metal business unit and sheet metal electrical engineering business unit. The company can be one company but they run two different type of products.
Dimension unit is the departments in one business unit.

In navision, you can use intercompany for business unit and dimension for department. Read organisation and management book for more clear and seriously.
