Is (BE + Development) = AM ??

Hi All,

According to microsoft's new licensing policy, now we have two version of NAV. i.e BE and AM.
Dont you think that partners will now sell BE & develope few specific AM features according to clients need?

    as far as i know, BE is not upgradeable... if you buy BE, that's it.

    i am not talking about upgrade. for say, customer wants only two or three features of AM. So, don’t you think that partner will try to sell BE & develop/customize those two or three features.

    Price should be similar more/less, at least for the starting few customizations? You want to make some money on such customization and development (at least, you must/can copy business logic from original granules, than renumber all objects (and that can be painfull job to do)). It takes time => money. At the end, you get the same problem and youre stuck with BE licence and for every next request you have to make new customisation, buy new tables and forms, spend more clients money...

    yaa, thts true. Anyway, I am just looking for all your opinion.
    I think developing/renumbering features like production, advance project management is not feasible but small features like Location Transfer or Item Substitute can be customized. :roll:
