Employee Portal - Links and Buttons not showing

I am trying to set uo a very simple demo with a resource list and resource card. On the list I have specified a Link action and on the card i have specified a save action. On the portal I have linked the list and card together.

When i open the portal there is no link or button showing.

To see if i missed anything, I followed the training example using the customer card and list, step by step.

Still no joy with showing the link and button!

At this stage I am getting stressed........

If I am missing something glaringly obvious, then I am happy to have someone point it out to me....... 8)

Thanks
Tim

Have you remembered to give the action a Caption? I seem to remember that the action won't be shown if it doesn't have a Caption.

    Hi Claus,
Thanks for the reply. The captions was the first thing i thought of, and the captions are there. Following your post I did check again just in case I am going crazy 8-[ but the captions are there.

Seems a bit odd that they are not showing, I will retrace the set up and see if there is anything else That I am missing. I will also compare tables with the cronus database to see if I am missing data in some obscure configuration/system table.

The solution has to be out there....it's just going to take some detective work.

    Once again....thanks for replying.

    Hi,

    just a small comment:
a.) In which group is the user?
b.) Has the user and/or the group any language id (LCID)?
c.) Did you setup the caption for this language id (LCID)?
d.) On which database version are you running on? SQL or native?

If you are running on native try to restart the NAS once and have a look if the caption is shown now.

    HTH,

    Thanks for the help.... :D

Sometimes it is just the little things that make a difference. Stopping and restarting the NAS has sorted it.

    Thanks again.....
