hi
how can i identify a Navision Version if it is world wide version or local version?
if i do backed up in a certain version and restore it to different version of navision, what would be happened to the system ?
will the system getting confuse?
will the data stay consistent?
if i have master and transaction data in Nav SP1 (or whatever), whats the best way to do to move/copy them to another Nav system (i mean .. the new system has different version from the old one)?
thank you for your kind responses..

if you have made some modifications or created table new fields etc, it will be needed to be upgraded. Don't worry, there will be no confusingif i do backed up in a certain version and restore it to different version of navision, what would be happened to the system ?

I mean if i have a LIVE system in Asia Pasific version and for some reason i need to move to Worldwide version then what should i do ? can i use common upgrade method?

I am sure you need to use upgrade toolkit that located in the product CD for database upgrading, except client installation upgrade, you just use installation upgrade wizard as guide. So it's only client application from Local version to worldwide version. for the database reading, you can read both local or worldwide database using client application, because it's no depended on database, it's only depended on version. But if you upgrade database from local database (ID/Indonesia or APAC/Asia Pacific) to worldwide, you need not to do that, because there are many different functionality inside it. Just doing copy the objects that maybe you have modified in the old version into new version.
For complete explanation, contact your local NSC, no need mandays for that, just asking them.
g'luck
