Is there a reason why you don't want 4.0 SP2 (the latest version)?

Did 3.0 at all have a chinese version?

I have not seen it personally but heard that 3.0 was quite buggy, especially the client, fin.exe istself - a big company here is using the 3.0 database with 3.1 clients. So if you have to use 3.0 then I suggest to use 3.1 clients with it.
