We have recently installed Navision Financials client v2.6 on our Citrix Metaframe XPa server(which has Future Release 2 installed) running on Windows 2000 SP2.

When citrix users run Navision as a published application they recieve screens that are all covered in black blocks and you cannot read the dialogue boxes or insert any data. For example when they try to open a new database, database host field and others appears with black strippes and any data cannot be entered.

In addition, if any user opens a second Citrix session without logging off from the first Citrix session, this display problem is not reproduced.

Is this problem generated by ZUP files???????????

Could you help me with this issue, I'm new using Navision Financials????????????????????

Thx in advance

We are also using NF 2.60A, but then with Citrix Metaframe 1.8 (no Future releare).
Here we don't have these kind of problems, so I expect that you have to find a solution within Citrix.

Yes, I think so, it is not a Citrix configuration problem, I think.... but in the other hand with a local Navision F. client installed there is no display problems.

I have read two more cases(one of them in this forum) in the same way.

Maybe a incompatibility between ICA display fetaures and any NF component......????????????????????????

    Any help will be WELCOME!!!

Do you also have the problem when using a citrix desktop ?
If you have the possibility maybe you can try the metaframe 1.8 release to see if it is caused by new settings/options of Xp

Also you could try a default windows terminal session to test for a bandwith problem

    Just a guess.

I think Financials works optimally with true-colour resolution.

What would happen if you increase the colour resolution of your Citrix-client to true-colour, allthough this is more bandwith consuming than e.g. a 256 colour depth.

Maybe, as in Navision Attain 3.0 and Citrix Metaframe XP 1.0, it is a security problem. We have experienced the same problem. In all cases it was caused by the fact that the user was due within 14 days to change his/her network logon password (not Navision) password. The problem could be resolved by teaching our users to immediately change the password when required by the system and then to restart. After that the problem with the black blocks has never occurred again.
