When was the last time you've gotten a blue screen? I don't remember mine. but I do know it was on win98.
Actually I saw it once on win2000, but that was because the CPU was overheating.

It suppossed to be humorous

Actually yesterday @ home - My son's PC got that execution error blue screen.

Some kind of mem overload or something..
it comes up sometimes on XP when you install a new piece of hardware. (in this case we added a new high permance video card).

After a few tweaks everythings fine.

XP is awesome I rarely have any problems. The Apple OS-X I wanna pull my hair out.

I think blue screens are mostly things of the past now. I think the only big problem with Windows is speed - or, more accurately, the gradual degration of speed. Half years after installing it, it starts to slow really down, even if it's in a secure corporate network (no spyware etc.) . Of course it depends on how much stuff you install - but I like to install stuff, I think that's why we have computers for so I try out all the sharware and freeware editors and whatever...

The slow down is mostly because the registry gets filled with crap. If the application had their own registry and the OS it's own registry, then the OS performance wouldn't be affected.

Yes... and the really interesting thing is that Linux wants to drop config files and implement something like the Registry, because without that Next/Next/OK installations tend to be impossible. However, the lack of Registry can be the reason that I can install half the world on Linux and still not gets slow.

What about Mac's. I'm sure it's probably simtper to install something than in windows.
