Syatem Hang During Posting NAV 4.01

Dear All, :shock: :roll: :cry:

The problem is that during posting Sales and purchase documents as
soon as i press F11 the system start posting but in the last i become
hang and only it come out from this state by pressing
CTRL+ALT+Del keys (End task). After that i restart the navision client
open the database and check entries that i have posted earlier (that
cause the system hang) are possed correctly. If i activate the debugger
the problem remain same. Debugger is not able to trap the
problem. Please let me know the solution for this problem.

    What version do you use..? Maybe the computer system requirement is not filled by your computer. Check system requirement first by using system SystemRequirementsNavision4.doc.

    is your system up to spec?
    how long did you wait before terminating navision? try waiting a bit longer.

    If you're running on a SQL server with different users there is a possibilty of a lock. You can check this by going to the enterprise manager of the sql server and look at the current activity. There you see what processes are locked by which proces.

    The debugger wil find nothing in this case because there is no error.

    This you can avoid if your DB-options has a "lock timeout" that is not too long. Standard this is enabled to maximum 10 seconds.

    Does this happen on computers or just one?
    Also do a backup and restore it locally and try to post and see if you can recreate the problem. Also is this sql or native?
