We had 35° Celsius few times this week (95F). We have no airconditioning in our company, just opened windows (we are lucky that they lead to North-East, it means just short time of sunshine in our office) and doors and one fan. Today is much better, we have just 31C :-)
One tip: Go into your server room, disable the aircond. if you have one there, be there till the temp is over 95F and after that go out - you will see that there is much coldly...
What works for me in that kind of heat is to take a shower as hot as you can tolerate. Stay in there until your fingers turn wrinkly and you will feel nice and cool when you step back into the unconditioned air.
We have a little pool for our daughter in the garden that is about 2 meters in diameter. I use it a lot also at this moment. Unfortunately my laptop is not water-resistant.
I had to go for work to San francisco last week and had to stop in Phoenix Arizona. I don't know how people live there. It was 115° F. Just walking from airport through the gate, I felt like I was in an oven.

Did you check the soles of your shoes to see if it was melted?

lol that's funny cause, I had to buy new shoes in SF and trash the old ones, and maybe the cause was Phoenix?

So it's hot over there too? Hm. I never believed in global warming as it always sounded some kind of a eco-pinko BS to me, but these weather extremes just cry for an explanation. I hope there is one without buying into global warming. Maybe it's just a natural play of the nature. I mean there are Ice Ages so maybe we are just on the peak point between two Ice Ages.

Luckily some customers have airconditioning.

A pool in NY? Wow.

Yeah, but as soon as I get out of the pool, I'll be hot again...
Someone should invent a portable air conditioned clothing. Thankfully, our job does not require us to wear a suit everyday.

Just that like, the heat comes, then goes. Good luck on the east coast!
