If You go negative on Inventory? and you have to apply it to a certain Entry?
Or they could be used for PO credit memo and PO return?0 -

You use apply to item entry if you want to return your purchased item using purchase return order, this will be available in the navision purchase return management, where beforehand you have purchased it and it is not accepted by QC then you want to return it, by drilldown the field, you will directly go to the purchased item in the item ledger entry.
you also can fill it automatically if you check exact cost reverse in the purchase and payables setup, then using functions --> copy documents.

In connection with purchase returns the usage of the column is quite obvious, but the columns also exist on Purchase Order and Credit Memo form...is there any usage in relation with those transactions ?johnson alonso wrote:You use apply to item entry if you want to return your purchased item using purchase return order0 -

You still use the same manner with using purchase return order when using credit memo. But if using purchase order, it will be directly relate to item ledger entry for purchased item and for example, you want to apply the same purchase cost for the imte you will buy with the item that has purchased beforehand. if the item is new, never purchase beforehand, you can't use the field.

Thank you for the explanation...In addition, it seems that the quantity must be less than zero otherwise you'll get an error...I think this procedure can be used to reverse purchase transaction when we don't have Purchase Return granule.johnson alonso wrote:But if using purchase order, it will be directly relate to item ledger entry for purchased item and for example, you want to apply the same purchase cost for the imte you will buy with the item that has purchased beforehand.0 -
dsatria.
As I stated that if you go negative on an item, you can apply from the PO to that specific sales order.0
