MPS & Forecast

I would like to know what do I have to do in order to make MPS read the inventory that I already have in location A and exlude it from the forecast quantity for the same period.
For example:
Forecast QTY : 1000 for item 1 (sales item)
Current Inventory in warehouse A : 500 for item 1
How can I have a proposal from MPS that would be like this :
Actual QTY needed = Forecast QTY - Current Inventory in warehouse A
1000 - 500 = 500
I have to mention that I want the production to take place in warehouse B
and that there is no sales order.
Warehouse A only is only for sales.
Warehouse B only is only for production.
Thank you in advance...

My opinion is that you can set using checkmark of use a forecast location field in the manufacturing setup, and then in the production forecast windows, select location filter.
If you want the production location different than sales order location, you can use manufacturing set up components at location field, select the location you want and all production orders that created from MPS must be belongs to that location. To make this happened have you tried to use location filter field on tab imte of calc. plan - plan Wksh ?
Anyway, after your production is complete, use the transfer order to move your Finish Goods to sales order location.
I think you can use manufacturing manual of part II, send me pm if you have it not.

Also do you have Include Inventory ticked on item card?0

If your reordering policies areeither maximum and fixed reorder qty, the include inventory is checked automatically.
But for lot for lot, you must check it.

Ok then, how is the result after read the manual..?
my opinion is as follows for your questions:For example:
Forecast QTY : 1000 for item 1 (sales item)
Current Inventory in warehouse A : 500 for item 1
How can I have a proposal from MPS that would be like this :
Actual QTY needed = Forecast QTY - Current Inventory in warehouse A
1000 - 500 = 500
set production forecast location filter to be B, then you transfer the 500 item 1 to location B. After production is finished, transfer the finish good to location A (sales order location). In this case, you don't have to create production order from sales order, because you use production forecast.
Have you tried that solution..?
