Schema Extension Error

Hi,
Anyone knows abt this error
I am giving the command on server
ldifde -i -f nfschemaextension.ldf...
while giving this command
I am getting error as
CONNECTING TO "VES.SALES.COM"
LOGGING IN AS CURRENT USER USING SSPI
ADD ERROR ON LINE 1: UNWILLING TO PERFORM
THE SERVER SIDE ERROR IS "THE SPECIFIED INSTANCE TYPE IS NOT VALID".
Anyone knows abt this.
