Need help with report & group totals

Hi all,

I need to create a report that takes the Item No.2 field and gives a group total on a flowfield called "Total Sales".

Part 1
No.: A-CTB2010/5LL
No.2: A-CTB2010
Total Sales: 2
Part 2
No. A-CTB2010/6AA
No.2 A-CTB2010
Total Sales: 6

I need the report to simply show:

Part No.______Total Sales
A-CTB2010______8

How do I do this? I'm still a novice when it comes to reports, though I know how to create them in terms of adding fields, etc. Thanks in advance for any help.

I think the basics are :

- creating a key for No. 2 in table/design/view menu
- set dataitemtableview on dataitem to it, grouptotalfields on report dataitem to it, and totalfields to totalsales
- put totalsales in groupfooter
