The most curious thing is that the rest o the windows in the screen look fine. It's only happening with Navision and the message is given under a Navision error window

Check out if there is some event in the eventlog that might explain this behaviour.
It may also be some virus, but why would it take Navision?

Is it maybe some monitoring software that your network people are using to log into your machines remotely, and they try to lower the resolution to have a bunch of screens to look at the same time?
