Reserving the components required.

Hi all,

Does Navision reserves the components required for the items on the Firm planned production order automatically i.e when the Production Order is created? or we have to reserve it manually by Function->reserve.

Does Navision reserves the components required for the items on the Firm planned production order automatically i.e when the Production Order is created?

When you create production order from sales order planning windows, you will have the production order reserved. It can be viewed in the right side of sales order (item availability). you will have it either for project production order or not. But you must set it also in the item card. I am not sure that you can create reservation manually, but using order planning, you can have a option to reserve or not.
