accounting period

Hi all,

Is it OK if we create accounting period manually, without using Create Year function ?

It is because if we have different Starting Date for each accounting period (fro example starting date for Feb is on Jan 26, but starting date for March is on Feb 25).
If we just use the Create Year function, then all of the Accountign Period will have the same starting date.

Thanks

Yes you can create it manually directly but I think you can also make some change or customisation.

Nevertheless, have you tried to use period length field and no. of period..? you can change starting date and select no. of period for the starting date selected and the duration, for example :
staring date for february is Jan 26. then you count how many days (i've checked it is 29D) from Jan 26 to 25 February if february 25 is march acctg period starting date and then set no. of period 1.

After I create this accounting period using Create Year function, then there is check mark in the New Fiscal Year field for March acc period.
Can we just remove this check mark ?

    Thank you..

There isn't any problem creating a new accounting period manually. Navision Essential in page 35 informs us that there are two ways creating an accounting period: Automatic and manual, as you have asked.
But searching in Navision Help(provided by the Navision program) I spotted only the automatic creation.

Yes you can, remove it, as I've said before you can make it manually or automatically.
