What happens when I compile a report in desing window ?
Do I end up with an *.exe ( or with what ?)
And where is the result stored ?

The "compilation" process in Navision is just "syntax checking" of the object. Navision is interpreter - he takes "object definition" (stored coded in Objects table - it means all properties, C/AL code etc.) and interpret this code in runtime... It means, Navision is reading C/AL and immediately processing the code...
