I have the solution with pdfcreator, freeware, and you can specify the file name and path automatically. \:D/

then maybe we can use the amazing function File.Exists.
as for the other problem, file already in use, of course if another application is using the file you cannot change it or rename it.

Can you tell more about how to use the free PDFcreator and how to specify the filename and filepath automatically ? Did you use the standard or the server version of PDFcreator ? Which automation variables (and commands) to use in which sequence ?
