licensing error in upgrading from nav3.70 in nav 4.0

hello to everyone,

we are in the phase of upgrading nav 3.70 in nav 4.0 sp1. The problem we experiensed is when we import all the tables of nav4.0 (we have it in txt file) from object designer den system returns an error that " your licesne does not allowed to insert the field Notify about Team To-do Chngs in table SalesPerson/Purchaser"

I have to inform you tha our license is developer license.....

i you Have any idea what is happening please help

I think there is something about that you can only do this with a fob file, but I am not sure. Are you the solution center developer on this project, or do you work for the end user company?

You may have to have your developer license updated for 4.0 SP1.

we are solution center and we stuck with this. it suppose that the license is upgraded in nav 4.00 from mbs

Then you should have the objects in fob file as well, or at least have access to them?

Hi!

Start with the 4.0 SP1 table object, save it as txt.
Then delete all code ( triggers and functions) and save it as fob.
Import the fob
Then import the txt.

This works for me when I have to add fields which I have not permission to add...

Even with the developer license, you won't be able to insert Navision-range fields.

This means that if you're upgrading from Navision 2.x to 4.x, you won't be able to import it using text file. You will need to use the FOB to either merge or replace.
