The starting date: 01/01/03
the ending date: 31/12/03
the periode tengh : year
Retain fields contain: none
Retain dimension: the two basic dimensions
I used the same procedure in a nother database and it succeeded. I don't know how.
in the database I working on the general ledger entries are compressed. perhaps if he don't find the correpondant general ledger entries he skip and don't compress.?. :?:
Under Item Leder Entries you can always add the field "OPEN" = No.
Just to be sure you don't want to retain it by Cust no (at least?)
Place a check in the box if you want to retain the contents of the field even though the entries are compressed. The more field contents you choose to retain, the more detailed the compressed entries will be. If you do not select any fields, the batch job will create one entry per day, week, or another period, according to the period selected in the Period Length field.
Any particular reason you wan to do this in the first place? are you running out of HD space?
