How to Start import from the second record using dataport

hello,
i am using dataport for importing datas from a text file.i want my dataport to omit the header part and import data from the second row in the text file.

i used Currdataport.skip in the OnbeforeImportrecord() and on afterimportrecord().But it is not working.Because the header part contains only text and actual data contains numeric values.

please help me to solve this problem.
