excel automation limit

is there any limitation for the excel automation. i mean how many
fields can be exported to a excel sheet by excel automation?

if by fields you mean columns if yes then 256.
if you mean records then 64000 records.

The limit is in excel not in navision.
Perhaps it's better to use Access.
