Hello,

our Company has about 45 Clients on Navision Financials 2.6. Our Database is about 1,5 Years old and has now about 14 Gigs. Now we need a new Server, and we will get Attain in next two Month. Can somebody tell me what for a Server will be the best for us. I think about a:

Single Xeon 2,2
1,5 Gig of memory
8 HDD`s U-160 SCSI (4 * Raid 1) 18 Gigs per HDD
Gigabit Network Adapter
2 HDD`s U-160 in Raid 1 for System

What would you buy ? What did you have ?

Thanks for helpin me

    Better late than never

We are running Financials 2.5 on a

Compaq Proliant ML570 Rack PIII Xeon 700Mhz with 1.5Gb Memory

    (750Mb allocated to dbms cache)

    12 * 18.2Gb Pluggable Ultra3 SCI 10k HDD
2 for the o/s and 5 raid 1 mirrored for database.
Smart Array 5302 Controller with 64Mb Cache
    DLT tape backup & UPS
    Hot plugabble redundant power supply
    :lol::lol::lol:
for a 27Gb database and 75 concurrent users running Windows 2000, windows 95/98 clients and terminal server (8 clients).

Works a treat although the terminal server clients could run a bit quicker
