Insurance for current Asset?

Dear Experts

Does Base nav support a feature where I can assign Insuance for current assets like raw materials lying in the warehouse???????
If yes how do i treat this???
If no do i've to customise this feature?

What are you trying to do with this information (assing insurance on current assets).

Ok
This is like insurance covered for the stock (easily perishable) against calamities that are in the inventory/warehouse.
this is compulsory practise of all manufacturing units that deal with raw materils that are liable for natural hazzards eg: cotton,paper,fabric,wood etc

And raw materials (stock) are current assets.

For Raw matersls (Items) usually these are viewed as costs are added to the item card as ((overhead rate) or indirect cost % or part of the finished good standard cost. depending on costing method.
You could create work center that represent the insurance cost and assign them production routing.

Any other ideas are welcome. There are some manufacturing people here who can help you further.
