Dear reader,

We are using Navision 3.60 in a Terminal Server environment. I am wondering whether it is possible to login directly form a shortcut on the desktop. At this moment I have to take the following actions:

1 Click shortcut
2 Push F12 (login)
3 Enter user ID (Navision does not remember after earlier login)
4 Enter password
5 Click OK
6 Choose company + Click OK (even when it show only one company)

It is not really a hard job for our desktop users, but for our warehouse employees whom working with small barcodescannerd, it is really a h*ll of a job... I hope you can help me.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions!!!

Ciao,

Marc

    hello marc,
try to use Windows login, and setup the Environment of the TS user to start Navision. In the User Setup of Navision specify an ID Main Form for the windows user.
    good look, mirko

    1) You can setup TS to run Navision and using runtime parameters to select correct DB and Company.
    2) If they have barcode reader, print them labels with name and password, if you use some barcode which is able to include enter (new line), you can automatically login wth one barcode (for example PDF barcode). In this case, they just need to scan the label and they are in... ;-)
