I tried to replicate it in 4.0 SP2, but didn't get the error. So it either it has been fixed or I couldn't reproduce your senario.
See if you can reproduce the problem in Cronus with item no. 80216-T.
I posted a positive adjustment for the item in loction blue. created sales order and posted the shipment. Created purchase invoice added charge item and posted. Didn't get the error.

This is only applied to item with Lot No.

Sell a new item with Lot No, and create purchase invoice with item charge assigment, you will be able to reproduce the error. Unless this has been solved in version 4.0SP2. Unfortunately, 4.0SP2 has yet to be released in asia, therefore can't really tested in the latest version.

    Thanks.

Just ran the senerio and got the error. It looks like sp2 has fixed it. There might be a document on partner source that would have the answer so that can just apply that fix.

you are welcome. You can try to compare also W1 Sp2 against your local version and see what changes have been done in CU 90 specifically to Charge Items.
