Hi! I encountered an error when I try login to SQL Server from Navision client. I am running Navision 4.0 SP1 with SQL Server 2000 Standard edition.
The error message:-
"The double-byte character set, code page 936, on your computer is not supported by this version of MBS-Navision"
I found out the error is due to computer's regional and language option --> Advanced Tab --> "Language for non-unicode programs" is set to Chinese (PRC).
After I change to English (US), I am able to login without error.
So any idea how to resolve the problem as my client need to use chinese character in Navision (multi language)?
Does Navision 4.0 SP1 SQL Option support other multi-language?
Thanks.
Rgds,
Koh

Hi Koh,
I have encountered this problems before.
It is not possible to login to SQL server Option, unless you have installed Chinese Simplified Version of SQL Server. It is will solved your problems.
Otherwise, You can use Native Database.0 -
