Report on Dot Matrix

Hi everobody
Please tell me how can i adjust my settings i i want a report to be printed on dot matrix ratger then Laser jet

in 3.7 and below. General Ledger->setup->Printer selection.

select the user, select the report, and select the printer.
If you want for everybody to print to this printer, leave the user ID blank.


In 4.0 versions. Administration-> IT adminstration -> General Setup-> Printer selection

If you need to create some report to be "dot printer friendly", it is good to:

-for printing, use the Generic Text Printer driver
-use the font "Courier New" size 10 to have font which look nearly like printed text on the printer.

Do not use bold text, italic text etc. Clear the setting of the Generic Text Printer (the Escape sequences). You can add some settings for reseting the printer etc. for beginning of the report (Init sequence of the printer)... It is not easy to create such a report, many things are connected to specific printer...
