Hi all,

how to find out the creation date of Financials 2.01 objects ?
There is only the last modification date in the object designer.
Are there different places to look ? Is there some kind of automatic version logging ?

Best regards,
Rainer Schueler

The date in the object designer is the creation date of the current version in the current database. The creation date of the original version is not really important for most purposes. Besides, what date should it be? Keeping in mind that an object can be copied to a new object number or the same object number in the same database or pasted to a different database.

If there is a need to track a predetermined date other than what is in Object Designer, you could aloways maintain it manually in the rarely used Documentation section.

I used to put all change information in the Documentation trigger.
    I use the following sintax:

    <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">code:</font><HR><pre>
    < date > - < person name > - < version >
    < description of changes >
    </pre><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Also some external tool can be used to store all subsequent versions of all objects and to track changes and versions.

    I'm puzzled.

Who cares when an object was created?
