Asertion Failed : Reservation Entry

varaganvaragan Member Posts: 7
Hi All,

While posting the output Journal we have encountered a strange error message. " Asertion Failed : Reservation Entry".

Normaly in what sort of situation these error message will come?

The item we are posting has item tracking and is serial number enabled.

In Item tracking we have given the propoerty for SN trakcing for Sales shipment and Transfer orders.

The error did not come in two different cases

1. When we put the quantity very less than what is required to be put. Meaning , we have split the quantity and put them as 7-8 journals then we did not get that message

2. When we assigned serial number using item traking lines before Posting the output journal we did not get this error message.

Could any one of you suggest us in what condition we migth get this error message..

Thanks

HI guys, has anyone managed to resolve the above issue..l am on Nav 4.0 SP1. There is a variable transfer quantity that must be zero so that this error does not happen. I am yet to look at the code to have a better understanding, but in the case anyone has a solution...l will be glad!!!!!

    Hello,

One of our customers reported the same error message recently.
Today they found another lot number already tracked to the production plan. They then deleted the lot number, they could then post the output journal.

We have not been able to find out why this happened yet.

Thought I would add this to the knowledgebase. :D
