Hi all,

Can anyone explain how Navision is licensed with respect to development.

I have tried to access code units in the IDE but am returned with insufficient permissions? I can however create tables/reports etc.

Is there a specific license that has to be purchased to create these objects.

Any help appreciated.

if you are an end user,

    you can license

Reports - gives you access to cal code, 100 reports
Dataports - gives you access to cal code, 100 dataports
forms - no access to cal code, ability to create 100 new forms
Tables - no access to cal code, 10 tables

you can not just license Code units, you have to license

the application designer , which then gives you access to code units, and cal code in tables and forms, and most posted tables. but not all, does not give acces to cal code that updates write protected tables.
cost in the US is $8000, gives 100 codeunits

To get the full developer license which gives you access to just about everything, access to write protected tables, you need the application designer and the developer license which is an additional $26000

I see the Mave Just beat me. I also notice that the post times are an hour off. Does this forum not change with daylight savings time or is it up to us to update the profile?
