Dear All,
We created a debit memo from invoice form. And now we are trying to allow apply entry function to be incorporate into this debit memo just like credit memo where CN apply to invoice and reduce the amount remaining amount field.
Has anyone done this customisation before? I was thinking to use the standard apply entry function to do. Other application logic will be affected where the remaining amount could be more than the amount field and other part of the program.

By debit memo you mean, you are charging the customer (opposite of credit memo) and you want to apply it to existing credit memos? If yes You can add the applies to doc type aand applies to doc no. and you can do your application just like on customer ledger wen you apply documents.
