Error Collation SQLServer 2000

polobapoloba Member Posts: 15
Hello:
I have a problem when I open a NAvision Client, the client is installed in Windows XP (processor AMD). The server is installed in the same machine with SQLServer 2000.
The collation in SQLServer is SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AI and when I try to open the client a message error says: Microsoft cant open with collation Tradicional-Spanish-CI-AS.

What Can I Do?

Check you Local settings in control panel, last page, language for non-unicode applications. There must be selected language which is same as selected collation of the DB. If you need to use something different, you need to disable option "Check codepage" in File - Database - Alter...

    Thanks for your answer:
When you say "Check you Local settings" what Local settings? Operative System or SQLServer Settings. For disable option "Check codepage in File - Database - Alter..." I Have to Open the Database and i cant open this. Can I Do the same without open the Database?

I mean "Control Panel -> Local settings" - it means OS settings... ;-)

Yes, you can edit the settings in $ndo$dbproperty table, field checkcodepage set to 0.
