Hi ,
I am getting this error when I start NAS. I have installed NAS on a separate server.
The description for Event ID ( 1000 ) in Source ( Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: nas.exe, 4.0.0.20942, 41dc50bc, nas.exe, 4.0.0.20942, 41dc50bc, 0, 0001147a.
how do I resolve.I am not displaying any messages in my code.

Regards

Did you install the NAS with the install-procedure or did you copy the files into a subdir for the NAS. In the latter case, I think you forgot to copy some file(s).

Looks like you are using Navision 4.0 -- Make sure you have the latest version of the application objects. I seem to remember a hotfix being released. There was a bug with this at some point.

The best thing to do is to upgrade the exectuables to 4.01

what I did was i copied the NAS folder from the Navision 4CD. And ran the set up file from there. I am not sure this way it misses out some files.

    Hi

I have got all the latest fixes i think, its all dated 01/09/05.

It is not working , it looks like its a permission issue. Because when i run the service with local account, it gives me warning message fro userid and password.
But when I change the log on account to administrator , it gives me the above error ( mentioned in first posting) and service stops.

Is it also because I am installing it on different server then Database Server ?
Do we need to change host or service file ?

This should not be the problem.

    Could be necessary.
Try to run a normal client from this server to connect to the DB-server. If it works, it is not necessary.

Try also to run the NAS from dos (so without the "Installasservice"-parameter) to check if it works.

Did you create a Windows-login for the admin of the NAS-server?
