We have a client that requires to be certified as Navision Solution Developers. They have completed the Gateway to Attain, and now intend to take the Programming and Development courses. Navision Academy does not offer training to clients (only NSC employees). Is anyone aware of a third party that provides this training in Canada or the US???

Actually, why doesn't your company train them? If your client wants to use Navision as a development environment and consolidate their front ends on Navision all they would realistically need would be a week or two of personal training on development on the 5 types of objects (as well as the requisite licenses). From there they could learn the rest. My company was in the same boat. We are not an NSC but required training in application development. We received a couple of days report writer training and developed the rest of our skills through self-learning. That was about 1.5 years ago and now we are doing everything in Navision. We create all our own tables, forms, etc. and all code throughout all our custom applications. We also have used the automation and OCX capabilities for a lot of additional functionality (ie. graphical route planning, synchronization from the native Navision database and an Oracle database, etc.). If you have any questions e-mail me.

I've been working with Navision for nearly four years now as a solution developer / development manager. I'd be willing to take a trip to whereever you want to train you up (yes i'm in the UK but if you really want someone and you get no other offers, i'd be happy to offer my services).

    Cheers
