I am using excel database query everytime I want to pull data and save it for analysis use from our current ERP but since we are now migrating to navision3.7 what is the best data retriving program or application to use? Is ms query in excel sufficient enough to use given that our database is located in another country?

It depends on: if you will have Navision Native DB or MS SQL. C/ODBC is slow and can be used only for not big data transfer. If You will have MS SQL, you can use MS SQL ODBC which is faster but you can do much more with the data on MS SQL. Of course, cons is that you do not see the FlowFields there (calculated fields).
