Post-upgrade Permission issue (3.7-4.0SP1)

there's a new codeunit "undo posting management" in 4.0 that was not in 3.7. When the user tried to undo a shipment, she got "Do not have permission to run the Undo Posting Management Codeunit" error.

This particular user has permission to execute all codeunits in 3.7, i assume that when her permission was transferred from 3.7 to 4.0, they will still be the same, rigth?

I also checked both her 3.7 and 4.0 permission manually, all permissions that she should have are transferred to 4.0, why did she still get that error?

When upgrading from 3.7 to 4.0, is there something special we should have done other than exporting and reimporting those Roles and Permission following the upgrade procedure?

And i don't have to do synchronization because i am using Navision database, right?

Has anyone run into postupgrade permission issue like this?

You have to transfer the 4.0SP1 permssions and roles from the demo database to your database.

And you need to be sure, that this functionality is not in some new Granule you need to buy...

thank you all for your reply. i think this is not some new granule they need to buy, they were able to do everything in 3.7, but i will check with them again.

Is Demo database Cronus database? I checked the Role of Cronus database, but seems like all the Roles have permission to everything. (??!!) am i looking at the right database?
what is Navision Demo Database (4-0)_Data.mdf then?

Yes, the 4.0SP1 CRONUS database.

You'll also need to add the permissions as needed since we found that there are some incomplete permissions in 4.0SP1.

thank you, i have done it and yeah like you said, a lot of permissions need to be added manually.

It appears that Permissions can be a pain.
a pain enough for these developers to create these downloads..
