Journal templates functionality

Can Journal templates be used to show only selected fields on one template for all users?
If yes, where are those settings stored.

    No there isn't a setup for this. You have to make modification to link the items to templates. If you are using SQL, you could try with Fieldfilter in security roles.

    You can create your own form based on the standard with the fields you need and create new template. On this template set your form in field "Form ID" and you are done...

    Right, you can take the fields that you don't want people to see off the form, and disable zoom in the permissions.

    Well, here I'm again with the same problem ](*,)

    Now we are using NAV 4.02 and it seems that that thing with Form ID doesn't work any more (or like it used to work in 3.60) :?:

    The default form (form 39) is always opening no matter what I put under Form ID field.

    I've searched this forum and I didn't found the solution so I'm back here :(
    Has anybody had some experience with this or even a solution?
