Host Not Found

Hi,

I have installed Navision Database Server 3.7 in Windows 2000 server and configured it as:

Server Name: ESAP
IP Address: 10.1.0.7
Port No: 3000

I also configured client (host file & Services file) as:

#hosts file
10.1.0.7 ESAP

#Services file
ESAP 3000/tcp


Problem is here:

with same configuration, some client are working and some are not working.

TCP/IP Error HOST_NOT_FOUND appears while trying to connect the server.

Network Connection is OK because the ping command shows the proper connection.


Please suggest me.

Have you tried opening it putting the ipnumber + port in the servername like

10.1.0.7:3000

You also might want to take a look at page 2. Does it say TCP ??

Have you tried to ping to the hostname?
