Dear All,
In navision, scrap is posted in output journal and only for machine center and it's a loss.In capacity ledger entry, there is a field scrap quantity just to inform the qty of scrap, but cost related to purchased and manufactured item is total quantity item's consumption and output posted including the scrap, to avoid shipment qty less than ordered, then in item card or porudction BOM and also routing, we fill the scrap number after we calculate its percentage based on statistical method. However, I can't still difficult to add scrap cost field that I want with formula : manufactured item's unit cost x qty scrap,
in capacity ledger entry and item ledger entry. With the formula above, the cost amount (expected) field will only be calculated for items without scrap, or there is a field explain expected cost amount without scrap. I really need help to solve this or receive any suggestions.

Dear All,
I think I have found out how to calculate scrap cost without make some changes in navision. For me, it's enough to use scrap location as a mean to know scrap cost and can reduce Cost of Good Manufactured of output items, before utilizing scrap location, the cost of scrap item and good item will be sum up by system. All output items posted will contain scrap and good, the scrap qty mixed inside the output posted but recorded in the capacity ledger entry because the scrap always relates to machine center bad product. I suggest using scrap location and transferreing the scrap items after posted total output produced that consists of scrap and good.
But if there are another way, please let e know it. tks..

Johnson Alonso
